Kindermusik

For the past six weeks, the boys have been going to a music class, Kindermusik. They love it! We sing songs, dance, play instruments, and learn sign language. Last Thursday was our last class until we start again in the fall. Ms. Suzanne, their teacher, pulled out a giant drum at the end of class and all the kiddos flocked to it in a matter of seconds!

Rhett has made friends with all the ladies! Every class he crawls around to everyone just to say "Hi". (his daddy is very proud of his social skills!)
Grant decides to leave the big drum to take a small one a way from one of the other little boys. I did make him give it back, but managed to capture it all before hand!
Taking it over to "share" with everyone else...
Nobody saw that, right?

Holding Hands

I just had to put this picture up because it is so sweet! Whenever I take the boys are their walks they will just "talk" to each other and hold hands. I Love It!!! I hope that they are always this close. The picture is not that great because whenever I go around to the front to get it, they stop... So I had to sneak up on them!

Thank You Grandad!

My parents came into town last Friday to help me with the boys while our nanny is on vacation. (Yes, I'm spoiled.... but if it helps your feelings, I'm extremely thankful to have her!) Anyway, I think my dad was here for 3 hours before he decided that the boys needed another walker. I told him they were fine, but he thought they each needed their own, so they could get plenty of practice walking! So off to Target we go to look for a new walker and we came back with the entire store!

Sharing our new shopping cart, it has all kinds of groceries in the basket and plays LOTS of great songs! (mommy loves that...)

Mommy mentioned that she needed to pick a package of diapers, so Grandad thought it would be best to just stock up on all kinds of stuff! Thank You so much, we really appreciate it!

Rhett has learned how to use his brother's strength to his advantage...

New Tricks!

I had mentioned earlier that the boys have new tricks. Here are some of Rhett's, I have a feeling I will come home someday and he is going to be sitting on the roof! This boy loves to climb!!!
I'm a big boy now, wonder how I get out of here...
Yeah, this will work, just throw myself forward...
Gravity should do the rest!

And I'm out.
Look at me, I can stand, in the chair!
Ok, I just need to pull up here on this barrel...

Don't worry Mom, just trying to sit in your chair...

I WIN!

Grant's tricks are better described with video. This is a huge success for him, because he never wants to feed himself, we still hold his bottles for him... (I know, I know... he's just so sweet I can't bring myself to stop!)

Grant has now figured out how to turn his walker around!

10 Months Old

WOW, 10 months old, only two more months to go until we are 1!
Time is flying by and the boys are growing like crazy. They are also learning all kinds of new tricks! That will have to be another post later...

Rhett has really taken to his chair, I have a feeling there will be a recliner in his future!

Rub-a-Dub-Dub, Brothers in the Sink!

Ahhh, the first bath in the kitchen sink! I remember taking my own baths in my grandmother's sink, I thought it was the greatest, a tub just my size! Anyway, the reason for the sudden sink baths is that we have had bathtub issues for a few weeks now. The boys did have some fabulous bathtub seats, that worked beautifully up until the last couple of weeks. Then they decided it would be great fun to crawl out of them! We were dealing with it the best we could because the seats have been so great, highly recommend them, we've been using them for about 5 months. But then, they decided they would just start trying to get out of the tub all together, not cool.
It's very difficult to try and pin down a slippery little fish when he doesn't want to be pinned down! So, that's when Aaron decided that the seats had to go, apparently he read on them somewhere that you are to take your child out of them when they start to stand and crawl out of the seats, yeah, yeah, whatever! (he likes to follow the rules)

So I decide to get one of the blow up duck bath tubs, we have one that we use in Pampa and the boys seemed to be just fine with it. I guess Rhett changed his mind when he saw it in his own tub because he started shaking all over and crying, needless to say, it hasn't been going well....

Then as I was doing the dishes tonight, I thought to myself, why don't we just bathe them here. And as you can see, it was a hit! I believe we have found a solution and I'm sure the kitchen floor has never been so clean!

Walking, Sort of...

The boys got so many wonderful gifts for Christmas that we had to put some of them away. We get out a new toy every month, so it's like they keep getting Christmas gifts every month! Anyway, this month we pulled out a little walker for them, I think Grant will be walking on his own very soon! He is loving the walker, but gets very upset when he runs into the wall, hasn't quite figured out how to turn it around yet... Rhett is just starting to get it together, I'm sure in another day or two he will be running with it!
