Ladd Family Christmas

We celebrated Christmas with Gaga and Papa on the 22nd. We started the morning off by making some Christmas cookies! I think the boys ate more than they decorated :)

Aunt Brooke and Aunt Amy making Nutmeg Logs. (Daddy's favorite!)
Sitting down for dinner, everyone was about to open their Christmas Poppers.
(inside each one is a crown and little toy)
The "Royal" Family!!!
The little Princes!
Trying to get a picture of all the cousins before the gift opening.
Everyone is in their place and ready to go!!
Grant is helping Daddy open a gift. The boys were very into opening the presents this year!
Grayson opening his desk from us.
Rhett was begging me to let him take some pictures, so here is one of his shots!
Yea! A Thomas Tent
New Laptops from Gaga & Papa
These came in very handy on our drive to Pampa!
Aunt Amy & Uncle Hagan got the boys tickets to ride Thomas the Train this spring! I know they are going to have so much fun. Grant is trying on his conductor hat and bandanna.
Of course Rhett wasn't being so cooperative.
I think he doesn't like to mess up his hair :)
After all the gifts were open, the boys decided it was time for bed...
All together!
We had a great time with everyone!
Thanks for all the wonderful gifts!

School Party

The boys had their Christmas party at school last week. It was very eventful! They combined the two toddler classes, so you can imagine how crazy it was with 20 toddlers running around for a "party"! They started out by singing "O Christmas Tree". They also made attempts at Jingle Bells and Frosty the Snowman!!

Jingling their Bells
Each child brought a book for a gift exchange. Grant is choosing his present.
Now it's Rhett's turn
And then it was time to REALLY party!
Eating their cookie and marshmallows

This is their teacher Ms. Sharon, by the end of the day they were not very into sitting still for pictures.
Merry Christmas!!!

Frosty the Snowman

Build-A-Bear has Frosty the Snowman!
Last weekend, we took the boys to create their own Frosty. They have both been watching the cartoon and loving all things Frosty! Rhett was first up, here he is watching Frosty being stuffed.
Choosing his Heart
Putting the heart in Frosty
Giving Frosty a squeeze to make sure he is stuffed just right!
Now it's Grant's turn
Grant got to step on the button and help stuff Frosty
Choosing Frosty's heart
Helping Frosty come to "life" :)
Final squeeze
Bath Time!

Now it's time to get dressed

Getting Frosty's birth certificate

All done and ready to take our Frosty's home!

Breakfast with Santa

A couple of Saturdays ago we went to have Breakfast with Santa! The boys were very excited and had a great time while waiting their turn to see Santa.
They made a friend,
Sang some songs,
and read a few stories.

Have you ever tried to get a picture of a two year old sitting still?
Try Two of Them!!

This was the best we could do...
Finally, it was our turn to sit on Santa's lap!
Grant jumped right up there and told Santa he would like a Fire Truck. Then it was Rhett's turn, but he would have nothing of it. He started crying very hard, so in my attempt to calm him down, I didn't get a picture of my own. Don't worry, we did get one from Santa's helper, just not able to download it for you all.
As we were leaving, we received a goodie bag and Grant was convinced that his Fire Truck was in that bag! And why wouldn't it be, he just asked Santa for it and Santa told him he would do his best to get it for him!

Decorating THEIR Christmas Tree!

I decided to buy the boys their own tree this year. Best money I've spent this Christmas season!
They have really enjoyed their tree and they are constantly rearranging the ornaments and just sitting and looking at it. Which means.... they are leaving "my" tree alone!
