The first weekend in January we celebrated Christmas with Grandad's Family.

We had a great time eating, playing and opening gifts!!

Rhett & Grant were serving up some ice cream cones for Ashely and Aunt Pat!

The boys couldn't wait to open their presents, what could it be?

We had a very fun day, lots of laughs.

Ehrlich Family Visit

The day after Christmas, we had some very special visitors!

The Ehrlich Family came over for dinner and they brought dessert!!

First things first, Rhett & Grant had to open their gifts.

Santa left some wonderful gifts this year for Rhett & Grant!

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve full of food, fun and presents!!!

Right after a yummy dinner, we got started on the gifts. The boys were so excited this year, it was really fun to watch them!

On December 23rd, Rhett & Grant had a special Early visit from Santa!

They were so surprised when they opened the door and he was waiting for them with some pretty cool gifts!

Oh Wow! Big Boy Bicycles, just what Rhett had been asking for!

Having a little chat, Santa knew that Rhett loves Trains, Digger Trucks and his Pooh Bear.

He asked Rhett if there was anything else that he wanted for Christmas and he said an Airplane.

Santa told him he needed to be a very good boy and maybe he would bring him another gift on Christmas Eve!

Grant was thrilled to be sitting with Santa. They had a little chat as well and Grant told Santa that he would like a Dinosaur Train.

And Gigi and Grandad did too!

Santa was watching Rhett ride his new bicycle. Santa was very impressed with Rhett's riding skills! He couldn't believe how fast he could go.

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

We were very busy during the month of December with all kinds of fun stuff!

Here is just some of what we have been up to!

A train ride in the mall :)

And we're off...

Daddy ran upstairs to get a picture of the whole train.

We went over to "Cake's" house for some Gingerbread House Making.

We had alot of fun with this activity, because Mommy let us eat some of the candy as we decorated!!

Even Baby J got to join in the Fun.

We spent several evenings driving around looking at all the beautiful Christmas lights.

This house won 1st place in Keller! There was a sign in the yard that said we could get out and look around. The boys loved that!

They had a nice little Christmas village set up in their window, complete with a train!

Rhett was thrilled :)

Rhett & Grant have a little elf that comes during the month of December and leaves them little treats in their stockings. On this particular day, he left everyone a surprise!

In case anyone is wondering... Yes, the choice of chipmunk fits their personalities to a tee!

We decided that we should just make it a chipmunk day, so we went to see the new movie.

It was a really cute movie and we loved all the music!

And finally, we got to ride the horse and carriage at the Town Center.

Last weekend, Rhett and I took off to Pampa for an early Christmas!

(Unfortunately, Grant had Strep Throat, so he and Daddy had to stay home)

We met at Aunt Jamie & Uncle Scott's home and had a nice brunch and then got right to the important part, PRESENTS!!!

So excited about his Lucky Duck game, we have been playing it alot this week.

Aunt Jamie got the boys some Super Hero Capes, is there anything cuter than a little boy running around in a cape???

Since Daddy wasn't around to help with New Toy Set Up, Uncle Linky had to step in :)

We were walking around the Town Center last weekend and it was pretty chilly.

So, Daddy bought the boys their first cup of Hot Chocolate! Rhett really enjoyed it, Grant didn't care about it that much.

Today I took the boys to the Children's Museum because they were having a special Bob the Builder exhibit! The boys have been watching Bob the Builder for about a year now, so to be able to go and see him and all the trucks was alot of fun!

Halloween started off with a visit from The Great Pumpkin!

They were so excited to see the blue pumpkins outside the door.

The Great Pumpkin left some cool markers and

new Thomas the Train toothbrushes!

However, we had to spray the silly string in the driveway first!

Rhett was doing his best to get Razzles!

Our first stop was Ms. Linda & Mr. Carroll's across the street.

The boys were so excited because they gave them surprises (aka M&M's) and a book of stickers!

I think Ms. Linda has been paying attention :)

Then we went next door to Jenna and Abby's.

So we heard this loud noise down the street and we knew it was some sort of big truck.

And sure enough, it was! The local Fire Dept. was handing out glow necklaces, the boys couldn't have been happier!!

I think the boys went up to 4 houses total.

They could care less about the candy (possibly b/c they've never had it???) and wanted to get back to see Razzles!

They decided handing out the Play-doh to the "big kids" was way more fun.

3 girls dressed as black cats came by and Grant was quite taken by them.

As they walked away, he said: "Maybe they want to do something?"

We all died laughing, forever the party boy!

Pumpkin Patch

This last Saturday, we went to the Hall's Pumpkin Farm.

We have been coming to this pumpkin patch for the past 4 years and the boys love it more each year! They are starting to remember all the things that they get to do, which is pretty cool.

On the way over, Rhett kept talking about driving the tractors.

He spent alot of time on all the different tractors!

I thought as the boys got older it would be easier to get pictures of them together, wishful thinking :)

It's Hunkin' Time!

So back in September, Grant and I went to Hobby Lobby and they had all their pumpkins out. He told me he wanted to go to the Hunkin' Patch. I had to explain to him that the "Hunkins" were not ready yet, they were still growing.

But... on Tuesday, they were finally ready!!

We met our friends Jameson and Emma at the Dallas Arboretum to see the Fairytale Pumpkin Village. It was so much fun!

Rhett was being very silly, he doesn't like to sit still for pictures.

There were piles of pumpkins everywhere for the kids to climb on, which was loads of fun!

On Saturday, we took the boys to the Alliance Airshow.

We all had a great time, the boys LOVED looking at all the airplanes and helicopters!

Today was a Grant and Mommy day!

Grant loves to eat cupcakes, so I thought we would make some Halloween cupcakes.

He was so excited to help and insisted on doing everything!

He poured the water, oil and eggs into the bowl and then it was time to mix!

He ran to the playroom to get his mixer, but I told him he could just use mine!

He did a very nice job.

Busy in Pampa

So... Things have been pretty busy around here!

That's why I haven't posted in awhile, but we are back!!

We went to Pampa about a month ago and had a great time doing all kinds of things.

First things first, we had to celebrate Razzles Birthday :)

We drove out to the ranch, Grandad is drilling some new wells.

It was very fun to see the rig!

And no trip to the ranch is complete without a visit to a pumpjack.

We also got to go by and visit our new baby cousin, Miss Sailor.

The boys LOVE babies and they enjoyed seeing her so much.

We had gone shopping right before we went to see Baby Sailor, and while we were in the store Rhett threw a baby book into our basket. I asked him what the book was for and he said: It's for Baby Sailor! Such a thoughtful little boy.

And of course there was ALOT of 4 wheeling!

And to finish up our trip, we had a nice BBQ dinner.

Grant was really liking the ribs! Rhett wasn't as impressed.

We had a great trip to Pampa and as you can see we had alot to do!

Back to School Again!

Last weekend we took Rhett & Grant to eat at In-N- Out for the first time!

Luckily we were able to snag a booth right when we walked in.

This morning we took Rhett to see his first movie!

Winnie the Pooh! On the drive to the Theater, he kept saying: I want to see Pooh Bear on the movie. I think he was excited!

Razzles and Linky had one more Birthday present for each of the boys.

I couldn't imagine what it was because she said it needed to stay on the porch for a minute.

They gave each of the boys their very own fish and aquarium :)

The boys were so excited about their fishy's!

Grant named his fish right away, Boo Boo.

Rhett had to think about his for awhile, and after an hour I asked him again, he proudly said: Ferdinand!!

They love their fish, they are living in the boys room.

Last week we had another Pre-Birthday Party!

"Cake's" Birthday is just a week after the boys and she is on vacation for the whole month of July, so we decided to do a swim party for everyone!

Our community pool has a great kiddie pool that's lots of fun for splashing around :)

After lots of swimming and a picnic lunch, it was time for a special cupcake!

As many of you know, our close friends, The Ehrlich's are moving to Tampa Florida.

This is a great opportunity for them, but we are so very sad to see them go...

They will be missed greatly!

Since they moved TODAY :( they came over Friday evening to have a Pre-Birthday party for the boys! They were so excited to see the babies and Ms. Heather!

Rhett waited and waited by the door...

And finally, they arrived!

We had a going away present for Josh & Ryan, so that needed to be the first order of business.

Then it was time to start the party!

The boys got a super cool video all about trucks, the best part is that they are all songs!

The video had to be put in immediately and everyone found a seat to watch the new show!

After our yummy pizza dinner, it was time for another present!!

Swim Lessons

We just finished up our group swimming classes.

The boys had a great time, Rhett especially enjoyed their teacher this year, Miss Courtney!

He would talk about her all the time and had to give her a hug before she left everyday.

Rhett started to get brave and took a small jump into the pool.

Children's Museum

A couple of weeks ago, we met our friend Jameson at the Dallas Children's Museum.

We LOVE the museum, so much to do and see!

Grant's favorite spot is the water room, which is shocking because there is a giant Fire Truck to play on!

Grant is milking the cow on the farm.

Of course he kept telling me that the cow was going pee pee in the potty :)

Baby Tate

I'm clearly a little behind on my posts! Some of you may be wondering where the Ladd side of the family was during Easter. Well.... They were in Austin welcoming this little guy into the family!

Tate made a special trip to GaGa and Papa's so we could all meet him!

The boys thought he was pretty cute. I was very happy with how sweet and gentle they were being with him.

Easter

Easter morning the boys woke up to find what the Easter Bunny had left in their baskets.

They were so excited to find that they had alot of good treats!

First out of the basket... the trains!

We sure do love our trains, we play with them everyday!!

They also got their first golf club, Daddy is giving them a lesson!

(But when they're ready for serious golfing, Mommy will step in :)

Off to church we go...

The boys were so proud of their outfits. Of course everyone kept telling them how cute and handsome they were!

One of my favorite things to do during Easter is to color eggs.

But, this is the first year that we have attempted that with the boys!

They had a great time and it was fairly mess free :)

I found this great egg spinner that makes tie-die eggs.

They though this was alot of fun!

Airshow

Last weekend, I got to have an all girls weekend!

Aaron kept the boys and he took them to the Airshow on Saturday.

They all had a great time!

The boys are sitting underneath a C-130, I'm sure they were impressed with how big it was!

Aaron said Grant was very excited to get out and touch all the planes. Rhett was happy to just stay in the stroller, maybe he was a little nervous?

I guess he felt it was ok to venture out for this one.

Family Planting Day

A few weeks ago it was Family Planting Day at the boys school.

We had a great time digging in the dirt, or I should say the boys had a great time in dirt!

Rhett is placing the flowers to make sure they look good.

Day Out With Thomas

A ride on Thomas the Train!

Aunt Amy & Uncle Hagan got the boys tickets to ride Thomas for Christmas and today was the day! We all had a great time!

4 Wheelin' Fun

During Spring Break, I took the boys to Pampa to visit my parents.

And Grandad and Gigi had a big surprise waiting for them!

Rhett was a little nervous at first, so he let Grant do all the driving, but he eventually took off on his own!

We were in Pampa for 4 days and this is what we did most of the time, they had a ball!

The last day we were there, my friend brought her boys over to play.

We all took turns driving and riding and a little bit of racing too!

Grant did take a break from the 4 wheelers to do a little swinging.

We ended the playdate with a picnic at Sonic!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Sunday was Aaron's Birthday, so the boys and I made him some cupcakes.

They were very excited to help pour!

While we waited for the cupcakes to bake, we went outside and found a surprise that Razzles and Linky left for Daddy!

That evening we went over to Gaga and Papa's house for the annual Lasagna dinner.

Then it was time for the party!

Rhett is helping Daddy open the present that he picked out all by himself!

He walked down the aisle looking at all sorts of stuff and when this caught his eye he said: Daddy's present, Happy Birthday Daddy!

In-N-Out

So Aaron got to go on a fishing trip to Mexico last week. He had a lay over in Phoenix, so he decided to go grab a burger. Yes, he went to the most delicious place ever... In-N-Out Burger!

Makes me hungry just thinking about it!! Anyway, he picked up a couple of hats for the boys. They had a GREAT time playing in them!

Birthday Party and Beyond!

Today we went to Grayson's 4th Birthday Party!

It was at a really cool place called "Going Bonkers". The entire place is a giant maze, High in the Sky, as Grant says!

Rhett and Grant had a WONDERFUL Valentine's Day!

These boys are so loved by so many people, they were receiving gifts all day!

First up: A box of goodies from GiGi and Grandad.

Now it is Daddy's turn, the boys helped me a little bit.

A box of Cars, I think the boys were hoping Daddy would share!

(and of course he did)

There was also a coupon attached to the Cars so that Daddy can go drive a race car himself!

GaGa and Papa brought over some treats too!

During our Winter Storm, the boys started watching the Cars movie.

And to end the day, we stopped by Razzles to deliver her Valentine's.

Razzles was so surprised to see such adorable little Valentine's!

And of course, Razzles had some Valentine's waiting for them!

Snow Days!

During the past 2 weeks, we have been snowed in (house bound!) for 5 days!

YIKES!!!

We did what we could to keep the boys entertained and I'd be lying if I said it was easy. They are very used to being out and about, so trying to find activities to keep us busy proved challenging. I'm not exactly proud of what you are about to see, but what can you do :)

I think we watched EVERY episode of Thomas the Train ever made!

We played with Play-doh, we cooked, we took several baths and made Valentine's!

The finished product, personally I think they are masterpieces.

Some of you lucky people should keep your eyes out, one might be coming to a mailbox near you!

All in all, the boys were good for having to be cooped up in the house so much.

We did brave the ice one day to go to Target. I decided we would risk it because I found Rhett in the playroom spinning in circles and saying Ahh, Ahh, Ahh....

I think he was loosing it or maybe just going "stir crazy" :)

Christmas Morning

The boys waited very patiently at the top of the stairs for everyone to wake up!

Then we headed down to see what Santa left!

Rhett really enjoys paying for things at the store, so Santa knew just what he would like.

Christmas Eve

We arrived in Pampa on the 23rd, so the very next day we jumped right into Christmas Festivities!

GiGi and Grandad had a few presents that "needed" to be opened early!

The boys were thrilled to get some trains and it was nice to have something to keep them busy for a little while!

After their nap, it was time for some dinner.

The rest of the family ate a late lunch/early dinner while the boys napped.

Time for more presents :)

During the White Elephant Gift Exchange, Daddy ended up with a machine that makes only Cupcakes! Oh boy, won't this be fun!

Ladd Family Christmas

We celebrated Christmas with Gaga and Papa on the 22nd. We started the morning off by making some Christmas cookies! I think the boys ate more than they decorated :)

School Party

The boys had their Christmas party at school last week. It was very eventful! They combined the two toddler classes, so you can imagine how crazy it was with 20 toddlers running around for a "party"! They started out by singing "O Christmas Tree". They also made attempts at Jingle Bells and Frosty the Snowman!!
