Clang, Clang, Clang Went the Trolley...

Ding, Ding, Ding went the Bell. Stop, Stop, Stop went my Heartstrings,
From the Moment I Saw Him I Fell!
(hopefully you all know this song!)
Aaron and I just celebrated our 5th Anniversary. We went to San Francisco which is where we went for our Honeymoon!
June 18th in Union Square
Waiting to get on the Trolley Car

Standing on the Pier, the city behind us
My Anniversary Flowers, we got them at the Ferry Building which is a little indoor/outdoor Market
Crown & Crumpet Tea Salon
I'm sure you can tell how thrilled Aaron was to have tea with me, but I really appreciated it because it was so good!
The shop was super cute and the crumpets were delicious!
Grace Cathedral in Knob Hill
Queen Anne Victorian Hotel
This used to be an all girls finishing school
Inside the Hotel
Victorian House Tour, these houses are really cool!
This house is Jessica McClintock's, it used to be owned by Francis Ford Coppola!
Nothing too spectacular about this house... Except for the windows. Frank Lloyd Write designed and built them! (aka for designing the Arizona Biltmore, my favorite place)
The oldest Trolley in the world
Our Anniversary Dinner at Alfred's Steakhouse
On Saturday we went across the bay to Tiburon. It is a lovely little town...
This is the main street
The main square
They had a classic car show and so we looked around for a bit. There were some really cool cars, these are some Jaguars from the 40's & 50's.
This picture cracks me up, Aaron was being a good sport because I kept begging him to sit down by one of the Mini Coupes because I was sure he might be bigger!
What do you think???
An old sailing ship that was used for cargo
Tug Boat
Golden Gate Bridge
We had a wonderful time on our trip! Thank You Aaron for taking me back there!

Fire Station No. 1

We took the boys to visit a Fire Station in Arlington this morning. Uncle Lincoln's best friend Jimmy is a Fire Fighter and this was his station!
Grant loved every minute, running all over the place showing us the trucks. Rhett on the other hand was a little nervous. He did warm up to things by the end.
Jimmy and Grant
(Jimmy probably doesn't know that he has made himself a new best friend!)
Grant "driving" the truck
Rhett didn't really care to be the driver

Thank You Jimmy for a great morning! The boys had a wonderful time and we all learned alot!

Swim Lessons

The boys finished their 2 weeks of swimming lessons last week. We went back to Keller Point, since they had such a good time last year. Both boys enjoyed being in the water even more this time! The first few pictures are of us going around the Lazy River practicing our kicks.

Grant LOVES to jump in, probably his favorite thing!
Rhett jumping in the pool

Warming Up, poor Grant was always freezing by the end of the lesson!

Babysitting Emelynne

Last Friday night, we had the pleasure of babysitting our niece, Emelynne.
As soon as she arrived, Grant was telling us that a Baby was here! He was ok with her as long as no one was holding her!
Razzles had never met Emelynne, so she stopped by for a minute to hold the baby.
(Love this picture!)
Grant decided she needed her "GeGe".
I put her down in the floor to play for awhile and Rhett thought he would keep her company.
He decided she might like to do a little magazine reading. All the girls he knows read magazines, so why not!
Grant giving her a kiss, notice she was on the floor!
And finally, Uncle Aaron giving her a bottle. She wasn't too happy about it at first, but seemed to get over it quickly!
We had a good time with you Emelynne, you will have to come visit again soon!

I'm Rhett James!

Rhett has definitely turned out to be our Head Strong, Do-It-Myself Kid!
I love his determined spirit, which sometimes comes across as orneriness!
The things he comes up with constantly amaze us.

He has learned how to buckle himself into his highchair
Find ways to haul his drink around
Be comfortable while watching his show
(He pushed the stroller over to the T.V himself and crawled in, all on his own!)
Disappear for a few minutes
Play a little basketball
Undress himself (Yes, that is his diaper and pj bottoms, in case you were wondering the diaper was totally dry... the bed was not)
And keep himself safe from Microwave Radiation!
Love You Rhett the Jet!

Wildflower Hill Year 2

These pictures are a little late, we took them a few weeks ago, but as they say: Better Late than Never, Right??
The boys were not exactly thrilled, the hill is pretty steep and I'm sure the flowers and grass are itchy. This is the best we could do!

Is it a Bird?
Is it Superman?
Nope...
It's a Plane!
Good Grief! Little Boys....

Bounce, Bounce, Bounce!

The boys received a bounce house for Christmas, but because the box was so large we did not bring it home with us. However, GiGi and Grandad brought it with them this past weekend. I'm sure you can imagine how much fun they had!!

While the boys were at home with their Daddy, GiGi and Grandad, (bouncing away!) Razzles and I went to a book signing in Dallas. I've never been to a book signing before, but I can say, it was alot of fun! Of course, this particular author, Jen Lancaster is by far one of the funniest people ever. I LOVE her books!!!
This is Jen, getting ready to do a reading from her latest memoir. So far she has written 5 novels and they are ALL hilarious. She writes about her life and the crazy people around her, she has a very dry sense of humor and is very witty. So.... if you hate to laugh or maybe you are just an all around boring person: then don't read her books!

Jen also has a blog that is quite funny as well: www.jennsylvania.com
