Swimming

I got the boys a little blow up pool the other day, and they loved it! We have had such nice weather and they enjoy being outside so much, that I figured they would love being in the water. I can't wait to get them in our big pool, hopefully they will love that too!

This video cracks me up! Rhett is trying to get Grant to play with him and Grant is having no part of it. I love the expression on his face of total shock that Rhett would touch him! He is so dramatic...

Easter Weekend

We started our fun filled weekend off with an Easter Egg Hunt. They weren't exactly sure what was going on at first, but by the end they were picking up the eggs and putting them in their baskets! Being the expert egg hunter that I am, I was so excited for their first hunt! In our family, you pretty much get to hunt eggs until you are married. I know this sounds nuts, but here's a little secret.... (they are CASH prizes!) So it is worth the effort to run around with your head fixed on the ground throwing little plastic eggs in your basket! Taking after their mother, both boys "cashed out" nicely!

Looking at the prizes the Easter Bunny brought!

Bunny Ears
Rachel, our super fun nanny, bought these for the boys! These pictures crack me up!!

The boys' first Easter was fabulous! They had such a great weekend. GiGi and Grandad were here from Pampa town America, and Aunt Razzles and soon-to-be Uncle Rincoln hung out with us too! We concluded the festivities with another family dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's. I hope that the boys will grow to love Easter as much as I do. Not just for the fun eggs and bunnies but for the wonderful gift that Jesus gave us, his life! Our family is so truly and richly blessed and I couldn't be more thankful.

9 Months Old

The boys are 9 Months Old now! I can hardly believe it. Getting pictures this month was a very difficult task, as you can see! I probably waited too late in the day and they were a little annoyed with me. Anyway, they are doing well and very healthy. We went to the doctor last week and she said they look great! She told me I could start giving them more solid foods, it's not going very well... Of course I guess if I had been on a totally liquid diet for my whole life and then someone stuffed cereal in my mouth, I might gag too! Hopefully, they will start to get over their texture issues and start LOVING their crunchy cereal as much as I do!

Grant weighed 18 lbs. 13 oz and 27 1/2" long

Wildflower Hill

Our neighborhood planted a beautiful hill full of Bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrushes. I was so excited when I discovered this, because my original plan was to drag Aaron and the boys to a spot off the highway and try and do this! I know it sounds crazy, so luckily I stumbled on this little gem right around the corner from our house!! As you can see Grant was very interested in the flowers and I believe Rhett was just wondering why we plopped him down on this very steep hill. (Rhett's eye was the victim of the corner of their little basketball goal, he looks pitiful doesn't he...)

We are well into our photo session and it has been going along smoothly. Aaron decides to move Grant and BAM, hits him in the head with the camera. He tries to deal with it the best he can.... However, he comes from a long line of dramatics!

Really starting to loose it here...

And he's done

Sweet little Rhett, holding it together so we can snag a few more shots!

We're Back!

So, I know I'm a little behind on my postings, which is exactly what I knew would happen. I have just been very busy and our laptop is on the fritz, so I haven't been able to put stuff up. (Our computer in the office is an antique!) Anyway, I will try to catch you all up on our last couple of weeks. It will probably take me a few days though...

The boys had their first play date with a little girl named Emily. Her dad and Aaron went to high school together and she is exactly one month older than the boys! I think they had a great time, Rhett was very taken with her, however Grant just watched her every move and if she touched a toy he would scream, I hope he outgrows this!
Emily has joined our Kindermusik class, so now we get to see Emily and her mom Allison every week! It will be nice to have a friend in class. (FYI: the boys are the ONLY boys in the class, Rhett is loving it and becoming very social, Grant still sticks pretty close to mom.)

Happy Easter!

I took the boys to get Easter pictures done yesterday. I assumed it would be a fairly simple process (according to the girl on the phone) and for the most part it was. However, I thought we would be back home in time for our 2:00 nap, but instead, we were just sitting down to view photos at that time! Of course the boys had been as nice as they could at this point, so Rachel (our wonderful nanny) took them for a nice walk around the mall. Apparently there was a big soccer tournament going on, I'll let you use your imagination as to how I came up with that conclusion! Anyway, an hour later.... we are on our way home. I loved the pictures, but as you will see Grant decided to play it cool. I have no idea what got into him, he usually can't get enough of the camera, I think he was pretty mesmerized by the bunny!

Play Time

These are some recent pictures and a video (YEA!) of the boys playing, they LOVE their playroom!
